Eleanor Roosevelt said we need people who have come alive – people who are awake, vivid, on fire. So this is a question I often ask:
I help people and organizations find and ignite their core story. This spark is then refined, through a collaborative process, into language that touches and motivates others.
I focus on the written word – crafting and polishing ideas for beauty, insight, and impact.
I believe that justice and the human spirit are deeply connected. Justice allows us to see with a pure heart, to make changes in ourselves and in society based on knowledge of our shared humanity – our diverse humanness – not on distortions, stereotypes, and fear.
Some of the justice-based methods I use are:
- Deep listening
- Consultation and dialogue
- Prompt and supportive communications
- Embedded research and fieldwork
- Content creation
- Appreciative Inquiry (AI)
- Community engagement
- Collaborative art spaces
- Custom workshops and seminars
- Writing coaching and accompaniment
- Manuscript revision
- Public speaking and group facilitation
This is sacred and scary work. Trust is foundational. And adventure. Because the story will take us where it will take us – out into the world, and deep into our own shadows and light.
